At a very young age, I knew I wanted to go into business. I'd write out long business plans detailing a "business strategy" for lemonade stands I'd be setting up and I read books about business that my parents had in their office (that I was way too young to understand). I especially liked marketing. I loved to watch ads and try to figure out what kind of person that ad was meant for, what they were trying to say about their brand, things like that.
I worked hard in high school to get into the #1 marketing program in the country, and it was there that I learned what good business is really about: the customer. I had an excellent professor, Chris Aarons, who taught me among other things that my number one job as a marketer needs to be making the customer happier, whatever that looks like for my industry. Understand their needs, their wants, what their thought process is, and you can use that to create a product/service that not only makes your bottom line happy but more importantly makes the customers' lives better.
Working at Walters Gilbreath, PLLC has given me such a great opportunity to do that. I am surrounded by a team of people who works tirelessly to ensure that our clients get the support and care that they need while going through some of the most turbulent events of their lives. I was apprehensive about going to work for a law firm, but I could see just from the first interview I did with Walters Gilbreath that everyone here genuinely cares about the clients and their lives first and everything else second. It makes working here so much more enjoyable knowing that every time we get a new client, we are going to do everything we can to improve their lives in a massive way.
I have enjoyed my time here so far immensely, and I can't wait to see what the future holds not just for me, but for the firm as well.
