Brian D. Walters

Hello, I'm Brian Walters. I’ve wanted to be a lawyer since I was a little kid helping my uncle at his law practice. But it wasn’t until a few years ago that I realized how important my calling is to someone going through what you are going through. I had to  experience my own divorce, re-marry and then have my own kids, and been a client myself . Since then, I’ve been a better lawyer and matured into the advocate that I am today read more about Brian here

James "Jake" Gilbreath

I’ve wanted to be a lawyer since I was a little kid. I had no idea that I would be representing families across the state of Texas in difficult and emotional divorces and custody cases. Where did I start in order to get here? My guess is that it is not where you think. I was raised in Waxahachie, Texas, a small town south of Dallas. I was born in Wisconsin, but I came to Texas as soon as I could when I was three years old; it has been my home ever since read more about Jake here

Slav Enhanced-1

Slav Talavera

Senior Associate Attorney

I was born in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico to a Russian Mother and a Mexican Father. My parents met in Moscow where my father went to study his undergraduate degree. When my mother was pregnant my parents moved to Mexico to be closer to my father’s family and they began work as educators. After only a few years in Mexico my parents decided that they wanted to continue their education in America and began applying for visas so that we could immigrate to this country as a family. The University of Texas accepted my parents into their Ph.D. program and allowed me to come into the United States with my parents. I have been a Longhorn fan ever since.

Taylor Roznovsky

Associate Attorney

After growing up in Victoria, Texas, I left for college among the big-city lights at St. Edwards University, eventually transferring and graduating from Texas A&M University in College Station. After college, I interned with State Representative Tan Parker, but before too long I was back in school, this time South Texas College of Law in Houston.

At STCL I served as an Editor on Currents, the school’s international trade law journal, where I published an article on the landmark European copyright law ruling UsedSoft v. Oracle. I took advantage of the Frank Evans Mediation Clinic, mediating landlord-tenant disputes, and earning my certification as a mediator while still in school.

Catherine Fuller

Associate Attorney

I was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. I grew up cheering for the University of Kansas Jayhawks, so naturally, I earned my Bachelor’s of Social Work, Master’s of Social Work, and Juris Doctor from KU.

While pursuing my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, I volunteered at the local domestic violence center and answered the crisis hotline. When I graduated with my Master’s degree, I started working for the domestic violence center full time. I helped victims safety plan around violence, leave abusive relationships safely, connected them with attorneys to represent them in legal proceedings, and accompanied them to Court as a source of support.

Stephanie Abiassi

Associate Attorney

Stephanie AbiassiEveryone in my life knew that I was going to be a lawyer, even before I did. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but I spent my adolescence California dreaming. I’ve always loved music, and at the age of 10, I decided I was going to attend college at UCLA, move permanently to Los Angeles after graduation, and become a successful member of the Artists & Repertoire team at a major record label. Some of those dreams came true. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 18 to begin attending my dream school—UCLA—and absolutely loved my four years there. I graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Eta of Los Angeles chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

Priyanka Bins

Associate Attorney

I was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, however I moved to Houston as soon as I could. After graduating high school, I went on to attend The University of Texas San Antonio, where I discovered my love for writing. While in university, I began taking creative writing courses, eventually designating my major to English with an Emphasis in Creative Writing. While honing my craft, I also worked as the Features Editor of UTSA's student-run newspaper, The Paisano, and as an editor at the UTSA Writing Center, helping my peers with their writing assignments. At the tail end of my senior year, I submitted one of my short stories, "A Change of Address," to the university-wide writing and art competition.

Raya Jackson

Litigation Manager, J.D.

I attended undergrad at Stephen F. Austin University (GO JACKS!) and The University of Houston (GO COOGS!). I received my Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law and have never stopped loving the law. During my tenure at both universities, I was proud to be on the Dean’s list and a member of Honor’s college from 2011 - 2013 while working my way through school. During this time, (and for as long as I can remember) I have never stopped working to achieve my potential. I grew up in Houston, Texas with a loving mother and grandmother and they have always taught me that if I wanted to be successful, I had to give everything my all.  My mom, a great entrepreneur and innovator, taught me that working hard is not something you simply "do" every now-and-then. Instead, it is a lifestyle.

Sheree Roberts

Administrative Manager

After high school, I attended college to complete my studies as a Paralegal. I was blessed with the opportunity to work in the capacity of Administrative Management, in client acquisition and retention, collections, and as a Legal Assistant for several law firms that demanded strong interpersonal and organizational skills. This included assisting and training law clerks and new attorneys, hiring and training. My love for the law started years ago, and though I have been recently working in the area of family law again, that has not always been the case. In the past, I also found joy with many areas of the law including personal injury and criminal appellate.
