Colleen Phillips

Associate Attorney

I joined the Walters Gilbreath team in the fall of 2024, with over three years of experience in family law. I am committed to guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging moments with empathy and expertise. During law school at the University of Houston Law Center, I worked with Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) as well as with a family law firm in Houston, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience in supporting individuals through the most trying times in their lives. Prior to law school, I pursued a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. While I ultimately chose to follow my passion for law, the training I received has proven immensely beneficial, as it has given me a unique insight into the human experience and equipped me with the tools to work effectively with my clients when facing difficult and emotional situations. I am committed to achieving positive, tangible results for my clients, who are going through some of the most trying times in their lives. My dedication to family law drives me to create a compassionate and supportive environment while delivering the best possible outcomes for my clients.

I am a member of the Houston Bar Association, Austin Bar Association, Austin Young Lawyers Association, and Phi Beta Kappa. Outside of the office, I stay active as a certified yoga teacher and amateur beekeeper.
