I recently joined Walters Gilbreath, PLLC as an associate attorney, but my path to family law started somewhere a little different. Out of law school, I worked in general civil litigation, and much of my practice ended up focused on probate and estate planning. What I loved most about that work was guiding people through some of the hardest moments of their lives and helping them find their way through a legal system that can feel overwhelming.
A couple of years ago, I made the move to family law so I could keep doing exactly that, while focusing in an area of law I find deeply meaningful. I learned as much as I could at my previous firm, and I came to WG to keep growing alongside some of the best family law attorneys in Texas. For me, the heart of this work is the people. Divorce and custody matters can be one of the most painful chapters in someone’s life and I don’t take lightly the trust clients place in me. I work directly with my clients, get to know them and what matters most to them, and focus on making a real difference in their outcome. When you work with me, you’ll have an attorney that genuinely cares about you and will look out for you both in and out of the courtroom.
Outside the office, most of my free time belongs to my son. When I do get a spare moment, I love reading, watching movies and TV, and talking about them with anyone who’ll listen. I’m also a bit of a theater person at heart. In law school, I performed in three musicals, one of which I wrote and directed.
