I may have been born in Canada, but I made my home in Texas as soon as I could. After graduating from high school north of Houston, I received an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Texas in English and Philosophy. I received my law degree from Baylor Law School, where I graduated magna cum laude. I discovered my passion for family law at Baylor, where I won the 2016-2017 Baylor Law School Family Law Advocacy Award from the Baylor University School of Law for excellence in family advocacy. Also during my time at Baylor, I was a Senior Editor on the Editorial Board of the Baylor Law Review, won Baylor Law School’s 2016 interscholastic Moot Court Competition, and received the award for Best Brief and Third Best Speaker in the 2017 American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition. I also was a member of the Order of the Barrister’s, participated yearly in the Baylor Public Interest Legal Society’s Adoption Day Celebration, and was honored on the Dean’s List for all nine quarters of my attendance.
I obtained my license to practice law in Texas in 2018 and began my professional career in personal injury law. Fortunately, as an attorney at Walters Gilbreath, PLLC, I’m happy to be back practicing family law. I handle a variety of family law issues including divorce, child custody, adoptions, property division, and appellate cases. I am passionate about what I do, and I take pride in providing excellent legal representation without losing a sense of compassion for what my clients are going through. I look forward to aiding you and your family in whatever challenges you may face so that you can confidently move your life forward.
Outside of work I enjoy serving my community as an active member of the Junior League of Austin, where I currently volunteer with Hand to Hold, a nonprofit organization that provides personalized support before, during, and after a family’s NICU stay. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction, exploring Austin’s food scene, and going on hikes with friends or with my partner Matt and our Portuguese Water Dog Sailor.
I have been working closely with Jake and Stefani for the past three years on a very tumultuous child custody case. It was a very complicated, heart-breaking situation, but they walked with me every step of the way, always making me feel supported. I could always rely on the constant communication each time I reached out, which was very important to me and ...

My case was (relatively) small I’m sure to what Stefani usually sees. I appreciate Stefani taking the time to guide me through each step and treat it as priority even when she is very busy. Thank you so much Stefani!
