I joined Walters Gilbreath as a summer law clerk and became an associate attorney in October 2024 after passing the bar. My passion for family law began after my first year of law school when I interned for the Honorable Judge Tiffany Haertling of the 442nd Judicial District Court in Denton, where she exclusively presides over family law cases. During this time, I gained valuable insights into her decision-making process and the factors she considers in her rulings, which significantly shaped my approach to family law as a new attorney. This early experience ignited my interest in the field and led me to participate in the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crimes against Women at SMU Dedman School of Law. As a student attorney, I had the privilege of representing a client in a divorce case that involved complex issues of child custody and support. I ensured my client received trauma-informed, client-centered counsel as she navigated the emotional and legal challenges of her situation. This experience reinforced my commitment to advocating for individuals facing family law disputes. Before my third year of law school, I interned at two prominent family law firms in the Dallas area, working alongside seasoned attorneys. These internships deepened my understanding of the nuances of family law practice and further confirmed my desire to pursue a career in this area.
I am dedicated to providing clients with compassionate and effective legal representation. Outside of the office, I am an active member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Women Lawyers Association. In my free time, I enjoy being outside with my dog, Elle, trying new restaurants and recipes, and cheering on my favorite college football teams during the fall.
